He holds a B.S. and M.S. degrees from the National University of México (UNAM) and a Ph.D. degree from Stanford University, all in petroleum engineering. He has worked for the Mexican Petroleum Institute, the Electric Research Institute, PEMEX, and currently is a professor of Petroleum Engineering at the National University of Mexico.
He holds a B.S. degree in petroleum engineering from the National University of Mexico (UNAM) and is currently completing his M.S. Eng. degree at the same institution. He has previously worked as a reservoir engineer for Xpetrus, assistant professor at UNAM, and he is currently serving as a consultant for Methane Storm Energy.
He is an accomplished author, having written various articles, and a sought-after speaker at both national and international forums within the oil industry. He is certified by the Japan International Center for Occupational Safety and Health (JICOSH) and the Japan Industrial Safety and Health Association (JISHA). Additionally, he is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Colegio de Ingenieros Petroleros de México (CIPM), and the Asociación de Ingenieros Petroleros de México (AIPM).
